Samiran Gupta, Policy Head of India and south Asia at social media platform X (formerly Twitter), has resigned. That's what Reuters claims. Samiran was the oldest employee of Musk's company. His role in content-driven policymaking was the most notable.
Why did he resign? So far, Samiran has not spoken to the media about this. X too declined to comment. However, according to Samiran's LinkedIn profile, his stay with the company will end in September.
Samiran joined X in February 2022. Eight months later, Musk bought it. X sees India as a very big 'market' from the very beginning. There are 22.7 million users on X.
